The Amber Villa

A home for an art-loving family. Designed not to impress, but to belong. Working within a compact floor plan, the brief called for warmth, restraint, and an interior that feels genuinely lived-in rather than styled.

The design draws from Wabi-Sabi philosophy. Translated here through a grounded palette of oak timber panelling, lime plaster walls, rattan cabinetry, and teal ceramic tile. Cultural objects anchor the space: Balinese carvings, brass vignettes, hand-embroidered textiles. Nothing is superfluous. Every element earns its place.

The result is a villa that is quiet, warm, and deeply human.
